Happy National Vanilla Ice Cream Day! Do you eat your ice cream plain or with toppings?
Here at Eggplant, we wanted to share with you some of the ways we like to dress up our ice cream, especially vanilla!
Some of the items people most commonly use to top their ice cream are fudge, caramel sauce, sprinkles, and nuts! However, did you know that some people actually add a sprinkle of salt to top of their sweet treat?
At Eggplant, we’ve become addicted to adding a hint of salt to the top of our ice cream thanks to the J.Q. Dickinson salts and caramel sauce!
The steps to making this sweet and salty treat are very simple:
- Scoop out however much ice cream you would like – we love a lot!
- Warm up a small amount of J.Q. Dickinson caramel sauce
- Drizzle, or pour, the delicious sauce on top of your ice cream
- Sprinkle a pinch of the J.Q. Dickinson Heirloom Salt on top
